Tilak Varma climbs up ICC T20I rankings

adminBy adminDecember 26, 2025Updated:January 3, 2026No Comments1 Min Read
Dubai, Dec 26 India’s cricket stars Tilak Varma and Varun Chakaravarthy have made significant strides in the latest ICC Men’s T20 International Player Rankings following strong performances in the recent home series against South Africa, while Jasprit Bumrah continues to dominate the Test bowling list.
Varma, who scored consistently through the five‑match T20I series, has risen to third place in the global T20I batting rankings after a match‑winning 73 in the series decider, helping him overtake several international players. His impactful batting display was key to India’s 3‑1 series victory.
In the bowling rankings, mystery spinner Chakaravarthy has further reinforced his position as the world’s top T20I bowler, consolidating his lead with strong wicket‑taking performances throughout the series. His disciplined bowling earned him a clear advantage over rivals.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah continues to hold firm as the No. 1 bowler in the ICC Test rankings, a position he has maintained through consistent excellence in the longest format. His status atop the Test list underscores his stature as one of the premier pace bowlers in international cricket.
