Chennai, Feb 23:
Senior leader K A Sengottaiyan on Sunday expressed confidence that Tamil Nadu would soon be governed by Vijay, president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Addressing party workers, Sengottaiyan said there is growing momentum in favour of Vijay’s leadership ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. He claimed that cadres across the State are united in their resolve to see Vijay assume power and provide a new direction for governance.

He asserted that enthusiasm for TVK is visible in all 234 Assembly constituencies and maintained that Vijay’s leadership would resonate strongly with the people. According to him, the political climate is steadily shifting, with increasing support for the party’s vision and organisational expansion. Sengottaiyan further stated that Vijay represents a fresh alternative in Tamil Nadu politics and voiced confidence that the electorate would back him decisively in the upcoming polls. The remarks come amid heightened political activity in the State as parties step up preparations for what is expected to be a closely watched electoral contest in 2026.
